RAFFAELLA TARANA

It is in the laboratory of her pharmacy that Raffaella Tarana's passion takes shape and is enclosed in precious bottles.

The brand she created, Rajani, was born in 2019 and is the result of almost obsessive studies and experiments.
A pharmacist by profession, Raffaella Tarana commuted between Italy and France for years to study at the Perfume Academy of Cinquième Sens, followed by an experience in the Dior Laboratories. Paris has a decisive influence for its Italian nose, yes, but atypical.

“I dined alone and sat in multi-ethnic bistros: next to me, Indians, Arabs… I still remember the intense smell of their fragrances. Those perfumes, so different from European ones, gave me a creative imprint born from a magnetic attraction to the base notes: woods, oud, leather, ambergris, spices. From there everything takes shape."

Raffaella is one of those rare independent Italian female noses, she creates everything herself: from the formulations to the choice of ingredients, up to the packaging. And if she doesn't find an ingredient that satisfies her, she invents it.

They are perfumes that have no gender and, above all, are never the same: each skin enhances a different note, a different nuance. Just as human beings are: never the same, always evolving.

“I am not always the same person, with the same perfume. When my mood changes, I want my smell to change. Perfume, for me, must be like this: it must make us feel free to change."
